Pray for Florida

This time last year we were recovering from Hurricane Hermine.  It hit the Panhandle as a cat 1. Many homes had trees down. There was some flooding and major power lines down.  Eighty percent of Tallahassee families were without power. So many days that we lost count. There was one fatality in Florida, one in South Carolina and one in North Carolina.

For days we have watched the news about Hurricane Irma, a cat 5!!! How scary can things be for those that will be directly impacted.  The unknown is the scariest part. My family and friends are in South Florida and trickle throughout the state.  I am praying for each and everyone of them as well as families I don't know near and far.  Please try to stay safe and take cover.  This storm is a beast!!  My heart goes out to all who have been affected by Irma so far. And to those who will be affected over the course of the next few days.

Tell someone that you love them.  Don't wait until its to late! Snuggle those babies.  Offer help if you can when someone is in need.  I know for us, we needed a cool place to take Moo last time after a few days. She turned into a wilted flower.  For our friends who need special medical care on a daily basis, no power is the worst thing for them.  For some it means that their special person may have no access to the use of their c-pap machine, feeding machine, their trach equipment and so forth. It's a scary place to be. So if you see that you are more fortunate than someone else, please help if you can. I have faith that we will join as one and help each other out.  Huddle up! Hug someone tight.  We are not promised tomorrow. At the end of the day we are all in this together. We are human and just need to feel safe.

In the mean time.  The governor just announced all public schools are closed in Florida for Friday and Monday.  We will be prepping.  I will be praying and loving my littles as much as possible.

Dear God,
Please keep us all safe!!!
